My second submission for Acrostic Taang Week: A is for Astrology. Since I don't know of any acknowledged zodiac or star formations in the Avatar world, I went for more of a totem/symbolic theme (If you can figure all the figures on the stones and their meanings out, cookies and kudos for you! *wink* :D ).

[Hint: the Koh-Toph-swamp theory. That ol' chestnut's hard to crack. :love: ]

With drops of Jupiter in her hair, hey, hey
She acts like summer and walks like rain

Since the return from her stay on the moon

Now that she's back from that soul vacation

other alternatives are Taurus(earth) and Gemini(air), and Capricorn(earth) and Aquarius(air)

HOLY FLYING HOGMONKEYS. I LOVE the symbolism in this. 8'DDDD The poses are perfect and I adore Aang's kind of apprehensive look. The koifish are really cute, too. THIS DESERVES COLOR.

Only critique... Toph seems bigger than Aang. Taller or something.

Yep, that was my horrible attempt at trying to make Aang a degree behind/to the side of the big rock, but ultimately FAIL. ><;; I would change it, except I'm not sure if I would be able to duplicate the expressions. ^^; Thanks very much for the critique!

I love Toph with her hair loose! You always draw both of them so well! :D Oh, and a question: I get the Koh-thing (with the tree & Koh underneath it, right?), but I don't get that comet (or is it a fireball?) :P

Yep, it's a comet... Sozin's. ^^ I thought of it as a spacey, astrological body; plus in the Avatar world it was the harbringer of doom. Doubly, it could represent the element of fire-- just as Tui and La represent balance as well as the element of water, and the One Tree represents the all-in-one and the mystical aspect, as well as that creepy tree Koh lives under. Koh represents death and entropy, etc. I could go on and on, but basically... it's open to interpretation. ^^; Thanks for commenting!
